Dr. Umran Ali is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Salford's School of Arts, Media and Creative Technologies. His research focuses on virtual natural environment design, blending game design with geography, geology, and landscape architecture. Notable work includes the Virtual Amazon rainforest project (2019), an immersive educational tool for environmental engagement. He holds a PhD in Higher Education Research and Practice (2016) alongside qualifications in Creative Technology and Computer Games.
