Umedjon Ibragimov is an Assistant Research Professor at Emory University's Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences. His research focuses on structural determinants of HIV/AIDS, implementation of harm reduction services, and the impact of stigma and violence on marginalized populations in the US, Tajikistan, and China. He applies multilevel modeling, structural equation modeling, and qualitative methods.
Education: MD from Tajik State Medical University, MPH and PhD from Emory University. He has taught courses such as BSHES 540 (Research Methods) and BSHES 526 (Program Planning).
Pre-academic work includes leading national HIV prevention and harm reduction programs in Tajikistan.
