معرفی
Umang Vinubhai Shah is a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, part of the Faculty of Engineering. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and prior degrees from Gujarat University. His research focuses on surface preferential approaches for nucleation and crystallization of biological molecules, as well as particle-particle interactions and powder cohesion. He leads teaching laboratory operations and innovation.
- Education:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering (2009–2012), Imperial College London
- M.Eng. (Distinction), Gujarat University (2002–2004)
- B.Eng. (Distinction), Gujarat University (1998–2002)
Research interests include surface-engineered templates for protein crystallization, nanotechnology applications in materials engineering, and optimizing laboratory teaching methodologies. His work bridges chemical engineering principles with pharmaceutical and mechanical engineering challenges. He was nominated for the Graduate Teaching Assistant Awards (2012) for undergraduate laboratory contributions. Currently oversees laboratory infrastructure and pedagogical advancements.
Advising and grants details are not explicitly documented here, though his role in leading teaching laboratories implies significant contributions to educational frameworks.
