Ulrike Müßig is a University Professor and head of the Chair of Civil Law, German and European Legal History at the Faculty of Law, University of Passau. She holds the title of Advanced Grantee and has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws (D.L.S.) from the University of Cambridge.
Her research focuses on Civil Law, Legal History, German Law, and European Law. She leads the research projects ReConFort and MoWo, which aim to reconstruct historical legal concepts and examine the role of women in legal history.
She has received the following scientific awards:

Professor Müßig has supervised numerous doctoral theses. Her research is supported by prestigious grants, including an ERC Advanced Grant.
She leads the research teams for the ReConFort and MoWo projects within the Faculty of Law.
