Ulrike Lühe

Ulrike Lühe is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia (UBC), affiliated with the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs and the School of Information (iSchool). She collaborates with the Transformative Memory International Network under the supervision of Erin Baines and Elizabether Shaffer. Her research focuses on the politics of knowledge production in international relations, transitional justice, and archival practices in post-conflict societies. She holds a PhD from the University of Basel (Switzerland) and degrees from the University of Leipzig and University of Cape Town.

Research Interests: Lühe examines how international and local actors engage with documentation and archiving in post-conflict contexts, particularly in Northern Uganda. She critiques archival methodologies and their societal impacts, emphasizing non-state actor agency and the politics of expertise. Her work is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation and Swiss Network for International Studies.
