Ulrich Teichler

Ulrich Teichler is a Professor at the Department of Applied Social Sciences and Law, University of Kassel, Germany, with a career spanning over four decades (1978–present). He has held leadership roles, including Director of the Centre for Research on Higher Education and Work (1978–present, for 14 years) and Dean (1994–1995). Additionally, he has been a part-time professor at the College of Europe (1994–1996) and Northwestern University (1986–1992).

• Research Interests: Higher education and labor markets, international mobility, academic professions, educational policy, and evaluation.
• Professional Activities: Co-editor of Higher Education (1990–present), President of EAIR (1997–present), and chair/member of numerous advisory boards, including the European Journal of Education and the Consortium of Higher Education Researchers (CHER).

Scientific Awards include the ERASMUS Special Prize (2008), Comenius Prize of UNESCO (1998), and Fellowship of the Society for Research into Higher Education (2008). He has also contributed extensively to edited volumes and journal articles on higher education reform, internationalization, and graduate outcomes.
