Ulrich Mayer is a Professor in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver Campus). His research focuses on geochemical processes in low-temperature groundwater systems, including reactive transport modeling, groundwater contamination remediation, and dissolved gas analysis. He develops and applies the MIN3P reactive transport model to study complex subsurface processes such as acid mine drainage, permeable reactive barriers, and gas migration in vadose zones.
