Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopyمعرفی
Prof. Ulrich Eichmann is a Professor at the Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopy, where he leads research in the Imaging and Coherent X-rays department. He is a member of Project 2.2 focused on Strong-field Few-body Systems. His work investigates atomic ionization dynamics under intense laser fields (1014–1019 W/cm2), including relativistic effects, strong-field dissociation of molecules, and Rydberg atom survival rates. Recent studies emphasize excited neutral atoms, kinematic effects via direct imaging, and ultrafast excitation dynamics.
Research interests span Atomic Physics, Strong-Field Physics, and Laser-Matter Interaction. Notable contributions include frustrated tunneling ionization mechanisms and photon-recoil imaging techniques. Collaborations involve projects like resonant four-wave mixing spectroscopy and planetary state analysis of strontium.
Publications highlight advancements in Rydberg state excitation, atomic momentum spectroscopy, and nonlinear x-ray physics. His work bridges theoretical models with experimental techniques, advancing understanding of ultrafast atomic processes under extreme conditions.
