Ulla Hytti is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Head of Subject at the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, University of Turku. She holds a PhD in Economics (2003) and Docent title (2007) from Turku School of Economics. Her roles include leading postgraduate entrepreneurship studies and teaching across bachelor's/master's/doctoral levels. She was 2021-2023 President of ECSB (European Entrepreneurship Research Association).
Research focuses on entrepreneurial identity construction, gender dynamics in entrepreneurship, and family businesses. Current projects include HIWE (international expert integration in Finnish labor markets) and EU-funded DISCE (creative economies development). She edits Entrepreneurship Education & Pedagogy and Entrepreneurship and Regional Development.
Awards include 2019 European Entrepreneurship Education Research Award. Key teaching responsibilities include 'Corporate Entrepreneurship' (bachelor's), 'New Challenges of Entrepreneurship' (master's), and 'Qualitative Analysis Methods' (doctoral). Active in policy-oriented research with outputs on immigrant talent integration and entrepreneurship education frameworks.
