Dr. Ulla Connor is a postdoctoral researcher at the Junior Research Group Europe within the Cluster for European Studies at Saarland University since 2023. She specializes in sociology, with a focus on territorial borders and cross-border cartography.
- Education: Technical University of Darmstadt (sociology), Université de Toulouse II Le Mirail (year abroad), University of Luxembourg (PhD, 2022).
Her research explores the intersection of border studies, spatial planning, and cultural dynamics in European contexts. She is actively involved in academic collaborations through memberships in the KWG section for Cultural Studies Border Studies and the UniGR-CBS working group on Spatial Planning.
Current projects include conference organization and participation, such as calls for papers on border transitions and European inequalities. She contributes to interdisciplinary initiatives at Saarland University, a European University under the Transform4Europe project.
