Ulf Nielsson is an Associate Professor of Finance at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), holding a M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University. His research focuses on household finance, behavioral finance, equity markets, and financial institutions. He has received prestigious awards including the De la Vega Prize and the Sapere Aude Elite Researcher Award. His work examines topics like investor behavior, IPO underpricing, and pension product choices. Notable publications include studies on sexual harassment’s impact on company value and the liquidity effects of stock exchange mergers.
Research interests include equity market institutions, behavioral finance applications, and household financial decision-making. He has published in top journals like the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Finance, and European Journal of Finance. Current projects explore non-standard errors in financial data and the role of employee stock incentives.
Professional activities include serving as a court-appointed evaluator for the Western High Court of Denmark and advising entities like the Icelandic Centre for Research. He lectures at the University of Iceland and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
