Dr. Ujjal Chatterjee is a Visiting Professor of Finance at Oakland University's School of Business Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and has previously held academic positions at the University of Miami and University of Trento.
His research focuses on asset pricing mechanisms, financial intermediation, and interactions between macroeconomic/microeconomic systems. Specific interests include AI applications in financial forecasting, risk management optimization, and machine learning-driven economic modeling.
Dr. Chatterjee has published extensively in premier finance journals including the Journal of Banking and Finance and Journal of Financial Stability. His work frequently analyzes banking liquidity, recession predictors, and market behavior during crises. Conference presentations at FMA and FIRS have featured his award-nominated research.
