Dr. Uisce Jordan is a Researcher at the School for Business and Society, University of York. He holds a PhD in Health from Edge Hill University (2021), focusing on the psycho-social impacts of welfare reforms on men with mental distress. Previously, he worked as a Research Fellow at Queen’s University Belfast on harm reduction projects, including wearable tech for opioid users and community theatre for marginalized groups. His current role involves the Changing Realities Project, collaborating with low-income families to improve social security accessibility.
Research interests center on poverty, stigma, participatory methodologies, and welfare reform. His work bridges academic inquiry with practical policy advocacy, emphasizing co-produced research to address systemic inequities.
