Tülay TEKİN YILMAZ is an Assistant Professor at Trakya University's Romani Language and Culture Research Institute. She specializes in educational sociology, gender studies, and child labor issues, with a focus on Romani communities in Turkey. Her research integrates learned helplessness theory with structural analyses of migration, discrimination, and social policy.

Her work addresses multicultural education, gendered impacts of migration, and evolving forms of child labor in media and domestic production. Recent publications examine Romani students' educational challenges in Edirne and design-based interventions for inclusion. She also explores body-oriented therapies in commercial spaces as metaphors for social control.
Key projects include European Commission-funded studies on regional living conditions and media child labor. She teaches courses in Family Sociology, Sociology of Education, Urban Sociology, and Social Research Methods.
