Tyrrell B. McAllister is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Wyoming. He earned his Ph.D. (2006) and B.S. (2001) in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis. Before joining UW in 2009, he held post-doctoral positions at Eindhoven University of Technology and Max Planck Institute for Mathematics.
His research focuses on discrete and polyhedral geometry with applications to algebraic geometry, representation theory, and geometric invariant theory. Specific interests include lattice-point enumeration in polyhedra and the theory of convex sets.
