Tyrone W. McCombs is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Administration and Research at Rowan University's College of Education. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Management and Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside BA and MA degrees in English Literature from Rutgers University.
His research focuses on governance structures in higher education, the roles of institutional presidents, and the interplay between state governments and universities. With over 25 years in administrative roles, Dr. McCombs has served in positions such as Assistant Dean, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of a campus, Assistant Provost, and Associate Vice President. He has also led grant-funded programs as a principal investigator.
