Dr. Tyanne Bailey is an Assistant Professor, Director of Graduate and Undergraduate Teacher Education, and Chair of the Education Department at Huntington University. She joined the faculty in 2015 after teaching special education in Huntington County and Wabash County schools.

- Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education (Mild Disabilities, K-12), Huntington University (2004)
- Master of Science in Education (Intensive Intervention), Ball State University
- Doctor of Education, Southeastern University (Focus: Impact of university programs for intellectual disabilities on undergraduate perceptions)
Dr. Bailey specializes in special education, teacher training, and educational assessment for exceptional learners. She supervises teacher candidates and oversees practicum experiences while leading the department’s national accreditation through CAEP. Her work with the ABLE Program (2018-2022) reflects her commitment to expanding opportunities for individuals with intense exceptional needs beyond high school.
She teaches foundational courses in education and special education and emphasizes integrating Christian values into teaching practices. Dr. Bailey resides in Huntington, Indiana, with her husband Phil (a fellow educator and HU alum) and their four daughters.
