Twyla Nova

Twyla Nova is Professor of Digital Communication at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA, with previous adjunct appointments at Southern New Hampshire University and Dallas College. She holds an M.F.A. in Art from Texas Woman's University and dual B.F.A./B.A. degrees from the University of Iowa. Her research integrates digital communication, photographic arts, and interdisciplinary creative practices, evidenced by solo exhibitions like 'Trace Farewell' (2020) and 'Specimen' (2016).

Professional experience includes digital retouching for Misook, production management for GlassBox, and roles as set photographer for independent films. Awards highlight her artistic impact, including international residencies and photography prizes. She maintains active involvement in arts education through K-12 teaching and curriculum development.

Her group exhibitions include collaborative projects such as 'Machine in the Garden' (Dallas, 2016) and international showcases in Mexico. Community engagement features gallery assistance at Texas Woman's University and event photography for the Greater Denton Art Council.
