Tuğkan Tuğlular

Tuğkan Tuğlular is a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE). He earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from Ege University's Computer Engineering Department in 1993, 1995, and 1999, respectively. Prior to joining IYTE in 2000, he worked as a research assistant at Purdue University (1996–1998). He has served as the Head of the Informatics Board at IYTE (2003–2007) and currently advises the Rector on Information Technologies. With over 60 publications, his research focuses on model-based testing, software product line engineering, and cybersecurity.

Research Interests: Model-based testing methodologies, software product line testing, formal methods in software engineering, and cybersecurity. His work emphasizes automated test case generation, mutation testing, and the integration of behavioral-driven development with software architectures.

Projects: He leads the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 project on developing event sequence graph-based test generation methods for agile software product lines. His contributions span cybersecurity frameworks, container logistics systems, and enterprise web security infrastructure.

Teaching: Teaches courses such as Fundamentals of Programming, Software Systems Development, and Software Testing at IYTE.
