Tuncay Tekle

Tuncay Tekle is a Researcher at the Department of Computer Science, State University of New York at Stony Brook. His work focuses on improving the reliability, speed, and maintainability of high-level programming language implementations through advanced query optimization and algorithm design.

• Education: PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University (2010), Bachelor’s with High Honors from Sabancı University (2005).

His research interests include Datalog systems, graph query optimization, and automated complexity analysis, with applications in the retail industry. He has contributed to the development of novel transformation methods for efficient logic programming implementations and collaborated with the XSB logic programming system. Scientific recognition includes a graduate fellowship at Stony Brook, a merit scholarship, and high honors at Sabancı University. His projects emphasize bridging theoretical algorithm design with practical software optimization.
