Tullio Tucciarelli

Prof. Tullio Tucciarelli is Full Professor of Hydraulic Engineering at the University of Palermo specializing in hydroelectric systems, computational hydraulics, and renewable energy optimization. Research develops numerical models for water networks, discharge estimation methods, and turbine enhancement for low-head hydropower applications.

Recent projects focus on Crossflow turbine design optimization, Savonius wind rotor improvements, and digital twin implementations for water network energy recovery. Experimental work validates computational fluid dynamics models for various renewable energy converters.
