Tuhfe Göçmen

Tuhfe Göçmen is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Wind and Energy Systems of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His work focuses on wind energy systems engineering, flow control optimization, and hybrid power systems. He leads major research initiatives such as the DigiWind and TWAIN projects, emphasizing digitalization and AI-driven solutions in wind energy.

Research Interests:

• Wind farm optimization and control strategies
• Artificial intelligence applications in renewable energy systems
• Hybrid power plant integration and energy management
• Wind turbine aerodynamics and performance degradation
• Flow modeling and wake steering dynamics

Key Activities: Supervises PhD students in wind farm control optimization, energy systems modeling, and flow dynamics. Active in international conferences and collaborative research networks. Awarded the 2019 WindEurope Poster Award for contributions to offshore wind innovation.

Projects: Coordinates large-scale initiatives like Reinforcement Learning based Wind Farm Control Optimisation and Data-driven design optimization and control of wind power plants. Engages in interdisciplinary teams addressing hybrid power systems challenges.
