Dr. Tsitsi Jaji is a professor in the Department of African and African American Studies at Duke University. Her research explores African and African diaspora literature, music, and visual culture through interdisciplinary frameworks.
Her scholarly work examines Pan-Africanism, transnational feminist perspectives, and cultural production across the Black Atlantic. She is the author of Africa in Stereo: Modernism, Music, and Pan-African Solidarity and Beating the Graves.
Recent publications investigate representations in African cinema, literary traditions, and sonic cultures. Research demonstrates consistent engagement with decolonial approaches and cultural analysis.
