Tsakiridou Sofia

Sofia Tsakiridou is a Lecturer at the Technical University of Crete, affiliated with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She earned her Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1988) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Vermont (1994). Her academic career includes postdoctoral research at Queen's University (1995-1997) and a research scientist role at Canada's National Communications Research Centre (1997-2001). Since 2001, she has taught courses including Modeling and Performance Analysis of Communication Networks, Computer Networks, and Wireless Telecommunications Systems at the Information and Networks Laboratory.

Her research focuses on computer networks, particularly applying stochastic models to analyze the performance of broadband and wireless unified services networks. She has supervised diploma theses, published in international journals, and served on scientific committees for conferences.
