معرفی
Dr. Truong Le is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London, part of the Faculty of Engineering. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia, and also holds dual bachelor's degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the same institution. Prior to his academic role, Dr. Le worked as an advanced laboratory and research engineer in industry. His research focuses on experimental soil mechanics, particularly element-scale testing of problematic soils, with expertise in soil characterization, advanced laboratory testing techniques, and the mechanical behavior of structured clays. Dr. Le is affiliated with the British Geotechnical Association and the Institute of Civil Engineers.
His research interests span soil properties analysis, geotechnical instrumentation development, and the mechanical behavior of soft and stiff clayey soils. He has conducted extensive studies on topics like small-strain stiffness variations in London Clay, creep behavior of structured clays, and the influence of strain rates on clay mechanics.
Dr. Le's work emphasizes bridging laboratory experimentation with computational modeling, as seen in recent studies applying machine learning to soil testing. His contributions address critical challenges in geotechnical engineering through innovative testing methodologies and data-driven approaches.
