Trond Kvamsdal is a Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. His research focuses on computational mathematics, particularly the development of numerical methods and software for applications in computational mechanics including fluid and solid mechanics.
Kvamsdal's work has applications across engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, marine, and petroleum engineering, as well as biomechanics and renewable energy. He co-edited proceedings from the 2000 Parallel CFD conference held in Trondheim.
