معرفی
Tristan Geiller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Yale School of Medicine and a Wu Tsai Institute Investigator. He holds appointments in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program and the Yale Combined Program in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS). His research focuses on neural circuits underlying learning and memory, with expertise in hippocampal microcircuitry, optogenetics, and multiphoton imaging.
Education:
- PhD in Neuroscience, Korea University (2017)
- MS in Materials Engineering, University of Technology, Troyes (2011)
Research Interests:
Dr. Geiller investigates how experiences are learned, stored, and utilized by the brain. His lab employs advanced techniques including in vivo imaging, electrophysiology, and molecular tools to study hippocampal function, spatial representation, and memory consolidation. Key themes include inhibitory network dynamics, synaptic plasticity, and the role of specific neuron types in circuit organization.
Awards:
- Whitehall Foundation Award (2023-2025)
- Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship (2025)
- Mercer J. McCance Scholar (2024)
- Peter and Patricia Gruber International Award (2023)
- NIMH Pathway to Independence Award (2023)
Labs & Affiliations:
Geiller Lab is located at 100 College Street, Fl 10, Rm 1050, New Haven, CT. The lab is affiliated with the Department of Neuroscience and the Wu Tsai Institute, focusing on interdisciplinary research in neural circuits and systems neuroscience.
