Trine Krogh-Madsen is an Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine's Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Her interdisciplinary research spans cardiac electrophysiology, mathematical modeling, and systems biology, focusing on understanding cardiac arrhythmias and drug-induced pro-arrhythmic risks.
- MS in Applied Physics, Technical University of Denmark (1999)
- PhD in Physiology, McGill University (2004)
- Faculty at Weill Cornell since 2006
Her work addresses population heterogeneity in arrhythmogenesis, developing cell-specific cardiac models and drug screening pipelines. Key projects include:
- Multi-scale cardiac modeling
- Cellular digital twins
- Inter-cellular heterogeneity analysis
Recent research has focused on improving drug cardiotoxicity screening and understanding genetic contributions to arrhythmias.
Scientific Awards
- Danish Research Academy Scholarship (2000)
- NIMBioS Working Group Member (2015-2017)
- Editor for IOP Publishing (2020)
She collaborates with the Computational Biology program and contributes to tri-institutional initiatives.
