Tricia Hubbard Turner is a Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and serves as the MS in Athletic Training Program Director. She is also an Affiliate Researcher at the Center for Biomedical Engineering Systems. Her work bridges athletic training, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and rehabilitation sciences.

Research Focus: Dr. Turner investigates chronic joint injuries, particularly ankle instability and knee osteoarthritis. Her work explores ligament healing post-ankle sprain, mechanical instability in chronic ankle injury, and how aging interacts with long-term joint damage. She also examines how physical activity affects osteoarthritis progression using animal models.
Teaching: Specializes in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. Leads the MS in Athletic Training program and collaborates with biomedical engineering systems.
