Trevor Pittman is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at the University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts. He is an accomplished clarinetist and collaborator in numerous music ensembles, including the University Wind Ensemble, Chamber Choir, and Noiseborder Ensemble. Pittman has been actively involved in organizing and producing performances, such as virtual concerts during the pandemic and community benefit events like Tunes for Tanzania. He also serves as an operations manager for music productions, overseeing video compilation efforts for the School of Music’s events. A key figure in faculty collaborations, he has performed in recitals, premiered new compositions, and supported scholarship competitions like the Ron W. Ianni Memorial Scholarship. His work spans classical, choral, and electronic music, contributing to both academic and community music scenes through teaching, performances, and advocacy.
Pittman’s research interests include modern music production techniques, ensemble coordination, and the integration of technology in live performances. He has collaborated with faculty members on projects ranging from traditional chamber music to experimental new media works, such as those featured in the Noiseborder Festival. His involvement with United Way and other charity initiatives highlights his commitment to community engagement through the arts.
As an instructor, Pittman mentors students in clarinet performance and ensemble participation, contributing to the development of young musicians. His roles in both academic and extracurricular music activities reflect his dedication to fostering artistic excellence and accessibility in music education.
