Treena Arinzeh

Dr. Treena Livingston Arinzeh is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at NJIT and founding faculty member of the department. Her pioneering work on allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) enabled FDA-approved clinical trials for bone regeneration without immunosuppression.

She directs diversity initiatives for the NSF Science and Technology Center on Engineering Mechanobiology, a multi-institutional collaboration with UPenn and WashU. Recognized with NSF CAREER and PECASE awards, she mentors underrepresented groups in STEM while advancing biomaterial scaffolds for neural and musculoskeletal repair.
