Tracy Everbach is a Professor of Print and Digital Journalism at the University of North Texas (UNT), specializing in gender, race, and media representation. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri and has over 20 years of professional journalism experience, including 14 years at The Dallas Morning News. Her research focuses on media portrayals of gender and race, newsroom management, and sports coverage. She has authored/co-authored influential books including Mediating Misogyny: Gender, Technology & Harassment (2018) and Testing Tolerance (2020).

Her award-winning journalism career includes investigative projects on domestic violence and juvenile justice, earning recognition such as the Carole Kneeland Award and the PASS Award. She has held leadership roles including serving as head of AEJMC's Commission on the Status of Women and advising UNT's student newspaper, North Texas Daily.
Her scholarly contributions span over 50 articles in prestigious journals like Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly and American Journalism, addressing topics from paralympic athlete portrayals to media framing of social justice movements.
