Tracy Almanzan serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Patti and Paul Yetter Center for Law at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She joined UTEP in February 2023 to teach legal writing and research as part of the Law School Preparation Institute. Previously, she practiced law for over a decade, specializing in child welfare, juvenile law, family law, and probate law. She began her career at the El Paso County Attorney’s Office as a Community Prosecutor, later transitioning to private practice in 2016.
- Education: J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law (2006); B.S. in Business Management from Trinity University (2002).
- Professional Engagement: Active in the State Bar of Texas, serving on committees such as the Racial Diversity in the Profession Committee, Child Abuse Committee, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force.曾担任多样性委员会主席。
- Research Focus: Prioritizes legal education accessibility, equity in the legal profession, and interdisciplinary approaches to child welfare and juvenile justice.
- Community Involvement: Advocate for diversity initiatives and supports youth engagement in arts, sports, and music through family commitments.
