Traci-Ann Wint is an Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at Smith College. A Black feminist and critical race scholar, her research interrogates the intersections of tourism, racialized gender hierarchies, and Caribbean nation-building projects. Her current book manuscript Reviving Paradise: Tourism and Making the Jamaican Nation analyzes how neocolonial tourism perpetuates plantation-era power structures in the anglophone Caribbean.
