Torsten Winfried Berger

Torsten Winfried Berger is a Professor at the Institute of Forest Ecology, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). His research focuses on forest ecosystem responses to environmental stressors, including acid rain recovery, climate change impacts, and biogeochemical cycling. He has led numerous projects funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and international bodies, examining soil chemistry, nutrient dynamics, and carbon sequestration in European forests.
