معرفی
Tor Wager is the Diana L. Taylor Distinguished Professor in Neuroscience at Dartmouth College's Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. He directs the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Lab, focusing on the neurophysiology of pain, emotion, stress, and empathy, and their modulation by cognitive and social factors. His methodological contributions include advancements in functional neuroimaging analysis and open-science tool development.
Education:
- B.A., Principia College
- Ph.D., University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (Cognitive Psychology, 2003)
Research Interests: Investigates how cognitive processes (e.g., beliefs, expectations) interact with affective systems via neuroimaging (fMRI, EEG, psychophysiology) and computational modeling. Develops analytical frameworks for neuroimaging data synthesis and promotes open-access scientific resources.
Awards:
- Endowed Chair: Diana L. Taylor Distinguished Professor (Dartmouth College)
Labs/Teams: Leads the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Lab (CAN Lab), which integrates experimental, computational, and translational approaches to understand brain-body interactions in affective processes. Collaborates on initiatives to improve neuroimaging methodologies and data-sharing practices.
