Prof. Tony Volk is a Professor in the Department of Child and Youth Studies at Brock University. His research focuses on bullying, parenting, personality psychology, and evolutionary perspectives of childhood. He holds degrees in biology, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, and developmental psychology. His work emphasizes transdisciplinary approaches, combining insights from anthropology, history, and biology. Key affiliations include the BRAVE group and leadership of the Volk Developmental Science Lab.
Research Interests:
• Bullying dynamics and prevention
• Parenting behaviors and child facial cues
• Personality traits (HEXACO model) and psychopathy
• Evolutionary foundations of childhood and human behavior
