Dr. Tony Milligan is a Research Fellow in Philosophy of Ethics at King's College London's Department of Theology & Religious Studies, affiliated with the Lau China Institute. His work bridges ethics, space exploration, environmental policy, and indigenous rights. Currently leads projects on cosmological visionaries (ERC-funded) exploring climate change dialogue between scientists and indigenous groups in China/Russia borderlands.
Research focuses on otherness and shared futures through space ethics, science-religion boundaries, and inclusive decision-making frameworks. Editorial roles include Springer's Space and Society series and co-editing the 2018 European Astrobiology White Paper. Recent media appearances include RTVI discussing space resource governance.
Key projects include Cosmological Visionaries (ongoing) and REDCARU (religious/ethnic diversity in Asia). His writing spans academic journals, commentaries on societal fears (e.g., alien conspiracy theories), and ethical frameworks for space expansion.
