Tonje Krogstad is an Associate Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Life Sciences and Health – Pharmacy. Her work focuses on improving pharmaceutical care and patient safety through research on medication adherence, community pharmacy practice, and antibiotic stewardship.

A significant portion of her work examines community pharmacy practice, with particular attention to over-the-counter counseling, pharmacist-patient communication, and interprofessional collaboration with physicians. Her research group, 'Medicines and Patient Safety,' conducts projects aimed at improving pharmaceutical care through academic detailing, digital tools, and best practices for OTC counseling.
