Tomoko Okazaki Hansen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Culture, Religion, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oslo. Her work focuses on cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics, and Japanese language structure. She holds a Dr. Art in linguistics from the University of Oslo (2004) and has held roles including Research Fellow (1998–2003) and Assistant Professor (2004). Key research areas include case theory, passive/causative constructions, and historical changes in Japanese grammar.
