Tommy Honton

Tommy Honton is an Adjunct Associate Professor at ArtCenter College of Design, teaching Puzzle Design and Escape Room Design since 2023. Based in Los Angeles, he specializes in creating immersive experiences blending storytelling, game design, and interactive technology across escape rooms, theme parks, museums, and video games. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in Classics and Psychology, and a Film & Media Studies minor.

Notable projects include the award-winning escape room Stash House, the interactive Museum of Selfies, and collaborations with Disney, Google, Meta, Amazon, and Netflix. He served as creative director for YouTube’s global event ESCAPE2021 and contributed to Netflix’s Money Heist experience. His work spans 1–300,000+ participant scales, including Expo 2020 Dubai and immersive theater like The Mortality Machine.

Honton is a globally sought-after lecturer at universities like USC, UCLA, and SCI Arc, advocating for immersive industry standards. His expertise bridges creative vision with technical execution, emphasizing audience engagement and cross-medium innovation.
