Tomislav Globan, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics & Business - University of Zagreb, specializing in Macroeconomics and Economic Development. His academic work focuses on Croatian economic development, EU integration, labor market dynamics, and international economic relations. He maintains regular office hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 13:00-14:00 in Room 204 and can be contacted at tgloban@efzg.hr.
His research interests span Macroeconomics, Economic Development, Croatian Economy, EU Integration, Labor Economics, International Economics, Monetary Policy, and Economic Convergence. Globan's scholarly work demonstrates particular expertise in analyzing Croatia's economic position within the European context, with special attention to labor market dynamics, productivity determinants, and economic convergence processes.
His recent publications show a strong focus on contemporary economic issues including women's economic freedom and sports performance, wage convergence in the EU, job satisfaction determinants in Croatia, Croatia's position in the Eurozone, and early warning indicators for economic recessions. His research employs both theoretical frameworks and empirical analysis of Croatian and European economic data.
Globan has published extensively in both English and Croatian, with a productive research output spanning from 2010 to the present. His scholarly contributions include analyses of financial integration, monetary policy effectiveness, EU cohesion policy impacts, and capital flow dynamics in transition economies.
