Tomasz Sobisz is a contemporary Polish sculptor and Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where he also serves as Dean of the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia. His work explores themes of human fragility, historical depositories, and universal emotions through sculptural materials like glass, metal, and stone combined with multimedia projections.
Education: Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, completing his diploma in 1998 under Prof. Stanisław Radwański.
Research Interests: Specializes in monumental and public art installations, blending traditional sculpture with contemporary themes. His works often address timeless human conditions—fear, hope, and the interplay between fragility and permanence. Notable materials include glass, metal, stone, wood, and slate.

Artistic Achievements: Created major monuments such as Gen. Ryszard Kukliński in Gdynia, Gen. Andrzej Błasik in Poznań, and the Popiełuszko monument in Debki. His works are displayed in prominent locations like St. Mary’s Basilica in Gdańsk, the Basilica Santi XII Apostoli in Rome, and the Senate of Poland in Warsaw.
