Tomasz Daroch

Tomasz Daroch, born in 1989 in Łódź, is an assistant professor at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź and leader of the cello group at the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra since 2019. He studied under renowned cellists such as Prof. Michael Flaksman, Prof. Julius Berger, and Prof. Jelena Ocic, graduating with distinction from institutions in Mannheim and Łódź. His career spans international performance, competition accolades, and academic contributions.

His awards include the 2023 Minister of Education and Science Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists, the 2023 Fryderyk Award for 'Album of the Year - Solo Recital', and multiple international competition prizes. He co-founded the Polish Cello Quartet in 2011 and organizes the annual International Cello Academy in Łódź, uniting global cellists.
