Tom Weller is Professor and Head of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University, part of the College of Engineering. He holds the Michael and Judith Gaulke Chair in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Previously, he was a faculty member and leader at the University of South Florida (USF) from 1995 to 2018, where he served as Department Chair and Associate Dean for Research.
His research spans reconfigurable microwave circuits, microwave applications of 3D printing and additive manufacturing, electromagnetic sensors, microwave and antenna design, and equivalent circuit modeling. He has led more than 115 externally funded research projects with support from the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Army Research Laboratory, Air Force Research Laboratory, Central Intelligence Agency, and various private companies.
Weller has published over 330 journal and conference papers, authored 3 book chapters, and holds 43 U.S. patents. His work has been widely recognized through prestigious awards and fellowships. He has mentored 25 Ph.D. and 50 M.S. students, many of whom have received awards and recognitions in their own right.

Weller co-founded Modelithics, Inc., a company specializing in microwave modeling and CAE libraries, and was a founding member and co-director of the USF Center for Wireless and Microwave Information Systems. His leadership and innovation bridge academia, industry, and entrepreneurship in the domain of electronic systems and microwave engineering.
