Tom Talavage

Tom Talavage is a Professor and Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. He previously held roles at Purdue University, including Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, and led the Purdue MRI Facility. His research focuses on fMRI applications in auditory neuroscience and brain injury from repetitive head accelerations (rHAEs), with notable contributions to sports-related neurotrauma studies. He holds a PhD from MIT-Harvard's Health Sciences & Technology program and has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications.
