Tom Rolander

Tom Rolander is a Research Engineer and Mentor at the Hopkins Marine Station Miller Library Fabrication Lab, specializing in Circuit Design, Software Engineering, and 3D Printing. He concurrently serves as a part-time lecturer in Entrepreneurship at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB). Previously, he held leadership roles in multiple tech startups, including CEO and VP positions at Digital Research, KnowledgeSet, PGSoft, and CrossLoop, which were acquired by Novell and AVG, respectively.

Education: Holds MSEE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) and BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Research Interests: Focuses on hardware-software integration, entrepreneurial innovation, and applied technologies in education. His work bridges engineering principles with practical applications in startups and academic settings.
