Tom Harrison is a Lecturer in Composition for Screen at BIMM University and a Doctoral Student (DMus) at the Royal College of Music (RCM), focusing on Composition for Screen. His research explores cartoon music, analyzing works by composers like Scott Bradley (Tom & Jerry) and Christopher Willis (Mickey Mouse). Harrison has extensive industry experience, having worked in Hollywood for 10 years, including roles as a music assistant for composers such as Deborah Lurie and W.G. Snuffy Walden, and as a protégé to John M. Keane on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He authored How to Become a Film Composer (Hal Leonard, 2018), a global resource for aspiring composers.
