Dr Tom Cole is a Senior Lecturer in Games Development at the University of Greenwich's School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. His research bridges Human-Computer Interaction and Game Studies, focusing on enhancing emotional depth in gaming experiences, particularly eudaimonic gameplay. He founded the BA Games Design degree at the University for the Creative Arts and has substantial experience in online education design.
Dr Cole organizes AdventureX - the Narrative Games Convention, a globally recognized event. Prior to academia, he worked as a designer on the BAFTA-winning 'Until Dawn' and as an artist on 'Killzone Shadow Fall'. He holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from Manchester University, an MA in Digital Games from Brunel University, and a PhD from Goldsmiths.
