Todd O'Hara serves as an Adjunct Professor and Professor of Veterinary Toxicology and Pharmacology within the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
His research focuses on toxicological and pharmacological mechanisms in veterinary contexts, with particular emphasis on:
- Chemical toxicity in animal populations
- Drug metabolism and therapeutic applications in veterinary medicine
- Environmental contaminant impacts on animal health
- Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in non-human species
- Comparative toxicology across domestic and wildlife species
- Risk assessment of pharmaceuticals and toxins in veterinary practice
